Dedication to the Max. This man drives three hours on his motorcycle to attend church meetings. Then he drives three hours back to his home.

Dr. Marpaung and his family.

We have been invited to teach Welfare Principles in November to Indonesian men and women. Dad has gotten to be very good friends with this fellow. We attended his church last week (Protestant) to hear him sing in his choir. He came to see us and told Dad, "I feel like I have come home." Our hopes are he will continue to feel this way with us. We are sending the missionaries to teach the young people in his church English. He is a very nice man. What a blessing he is for this  country and his church.

TOP School we visited in SOLO.

The children at this private school speak very good English, also Indonesian, Javanese, and Japanese. They are highly motivated and their test results show accomplishments in math, science, social studies, and the languages. The little girl's father is the owner of the school. It is her birthday so we sang to her. They also did the Hockey Pockey with us which they loved. We are going to work closely with this school as a prototype for others here in Jakarta.

Crocodile weekend-notice no tongue.

These critters get up to 700 kilos. There is a crocodile that is thirty years old at this farm. He is not laughing, believe me. Just looking at my tasty thighs.
Our Friends: Abisha, Loveness, Son, and Patrick. Abisha is from Sri Lanka and Patrick Nigeria.

A little barbecue, anyone? What do you think this is? Yep!

Meeting with ATNI to design a wheelchair for LDSC

Designers made a prototype of a wheelchair that could be made in Indonesia. John discusses the possibilities. Brother Sutarno and Son, Moko were our driver-tour guides for the day. Moko graduated from ATNI. Eighteen hundred men apply and 180 are accepted.

Sweet, Macho, Can You Believe We Are Doing This?

Honest, this is not a doll. Probably about three years old.

I believe I take many pictures of children because I miss the Grands so much!

Attitude is seen throughout the world.

This sweet girl may be someone's wife someday?!

John was asked to speak "impromptu" about education.

He did a wonderful job-only I understood what he said. But he smiled a lot and so did they! They treated him like a King. An Indo movie star came. When I looked in the back of the room, the movie star was standing by a few people talking. John was standing nearby surrounded by parents taking pictures of him with their little kids. I believe he was more of a hit than the movie star this day. He was delighted!
